About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to provide armed patrol services at a public-facing community location in Toledo, Ohio. The officer will help safeguard clients by maintaining a visible presence, conducting patrols, responding to security concerns, monitoring access and visitor activity, and providing customer service. The role requires professionalism, sound judgment, integrity, and effective communication while working as part of a reliable team. The posted pay rate is $23.00 per hour. The schedule is Wednesday and Thursday, 1:00 PM–9:00 PM. Additional shifts may be available through the company’s Claim a Shift platform. The position includes paid training and opportunities for career growth.

Requirements

Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations using a problem-solving approach.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and surrounding perimeter, reporting unusual activity and potential concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site-specific procedures.
Maintain required reports and documentation related to patrols, incidents, and security observations.
