About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for a government port location in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and a TSA-issued TWIC. The officer will help safeguard the site by conducting patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring access, responding to incidents, and providing customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and maritime personnel. The role pays $17.06 per hour and is scheduled Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Requirements

A TSA-issued TWIC.
A valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Successful completion of applicable background investigation and drug screening conditions of employment.

A guard card or license.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and maritime personnel while following site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, suspicious activity, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts or emergency responders.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of port facilities, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas.
Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and authorized access as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
Observe and report hazards, unusual conditions, and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
