About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring experienced refinery security professionals for a security officer position at a refinery/plant in Texas City, Texas. The role pays $19.00 per hour, with weekly pay, and involves flexible scheduling with 8- to 12-hour shifts. Assigned schedules may change, so candidates must have open availability. Officers serve and safeguard clients by following safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, responding to emergencies and incidents, and conducting patrols. Work conditions may vary by site.

Requirements

• Meet the applicable minimum age requirement: at least 18 for unarmed roles and 21 or older for armed roles; the posting's refinery-specific qualifications require applicants to be at least 21.
• Pass a full background screen through DISA and a background check.
• Complete a drug screen, as permitted by law.
• Be able to work 12-hour shifts and maintain open availability for a flexible schedule.
• Have a valid TWIC card; receipts are not accepted.
• Have a Texas driver's license with no flags or suspensions.
• Be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Be able to work outdoors in the elements.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Have identification documents and a TWIC card available for the first phone interview.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients while carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, using problem-solving skills.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
