About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Security Officer for a residential site in Los Angeles, California. The role involves monitoring security systems and surveillance feeds, identifying suspicious activity and potential threats, documenting events, responding to incidents, conducting patrols, and protecting people and property. The officer will also control access to secure areas, verify visitors’ identities, check security systems for vulnerabilities or malfunctions, and collaborate with law enforcement during serious situations or emergencies.

The schedule is 40 hours per week, Tuesday through Saturday, from 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. The hourly wage is $19.50. A uniform is provided at no cost. The posting also describes opportunities for career growth at GardaWorld.

Requirements

• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Hold a state security license (BSIS Guard Card).
• Complete the additional 32 hours of BSIS security training; the posting says additional security training can be obtained during the hiring process.
• Have strong report-writing skills.
• Have good eyesight and an excellent ability to maintain focus.
• Have strong proficiency with technology.
