About The Position

As a full-time Security Officer Access Screening in East Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will communicate professionally with employees, drivers, and visitors while supporting smooth site operations. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, and pays $17.75 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, drivers, visitors, and delivery partners by following site-specific access-control procedures and policies, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor entry and exit points; verify credentials and authorized access; and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle records.
Control access to shipping, receiving, warehouse, parking, and restricted areas in accordance with site procedures.
Respond calmly to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts or emergency responders.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, the business, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
