About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a food and beverage production location in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The officer helps safeguard employees, visitors, and operations through visible patrols, access monitoring, incident response, and customer service. The role includes scheduled overnight shifts on Friday and Saturday, from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and pays $18.52 per hour. Officers can use Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and use problem-solving skills during incidents and critical situations, including access concerns, medical emergencies, fire alarms, and facility disruptions.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, production-area exterior, parking areas, loading docks, entrances, and perimeter.
Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor credentials, maintain visitor logs, and report unauthorized entry attempts or policy concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
Observe and report operational conditions such as unsecured doors, damaged fencing, delivery traffic concerns, and emergency equipment issues, following site-specific reporting procedures.
