About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Support in Newton, Mississippi. The position provides a designated site and weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. In addition to the fixed shift, officers may claim extra shifts through the company scheduling platform, with opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week. The stated pay rate is $16.25 per hour. The posted schedule is Monday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM.

The officer supports site security by following security procedures and site-specific policies, responding to incidents, and patrolling the business, warehouse, loading areas, and perimeter. The position also involves monitoring access and activity, documenting incidents and shift information, and providing customer service. The site has limited on-site facilities, including portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years old.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations using problem-solving skills.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, warehouse, loading areas, and perimeter; report unusual conditions and potential security concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and vehicle activity according to site procedures.
• Complete activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications accurately and promptly.
