Security Officer Supportive Housing Facility
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer to support a government location in New York, NY. The officer will safeguard clients, residents, visitors, and staff by providing customer service, patrolling the facility and surrounding grounds, monitoring access and visitor activity, and responding to incidents in accordance with site procedures. The role is scheduled Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM and pays $18.87 per hour. Applicants must hold a New York State Security Guard License, have at least one year of security-related experience, be at least 18 years old for unarmed work, and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, residents, and staff while following site-specific procedures and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, entrances, exits, and perimeter; identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Respond calmly to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in accordance with post orders and escalation procedures.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed, and maintain awareness of assigned areas.
- Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation, and communicate observations and concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
