About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer to support a government services location in New York, NY. The role safeguards the site by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, and communicating professionally with residents, visitors, staff, and site contacts. Officers respond to concerns and incidents, document observations, and provide customer service while representing Allied Universal’s people-first culture with integrity and teamwork. The schedule is Monday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM and Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The pay rate is $18.87 per hour.

Requirements

Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
Have at least one year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures and policies and carrying out emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout assigned areas and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions requiring attention.
Monitor access points, verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, and report unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations while following established protocols.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site contacts.
