About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol Security Officer for a government services location in New York, NY. The officer will safeguard the site by conducting interior and exterior patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring access and visitor activity, and providing customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and agency personnel. The role includes responding professionally to incidents, communicating security concerns, and preparing accurate reports.

Requirements

Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
Have at least one year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and agency personnel by following site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document observations according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, common areas, perimeters, and parking locations.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization according to site policies, and direct individuals to appropriate locations.
Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate relevant security information to supervisors and site representatives.
