About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for patrol and compliance review at an assigned financial institution in Ozone Park, New York. The role offers a fixed weekly shift at a designated site, requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Additional shifts may allow the employee to work up to 40 hours per week, with the ability to scale back. The listed pay rate is $22.00–$23.00 per hour. The scheduled shift is Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation, consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• State or local licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and customers at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter, identifying and reporting unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with access control, and direct guests according to site-specific procedures.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document events according to policy.
• Complete accurate reports, remain aware of daily operations, and communicate relevant security observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
