About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for a commercial real estate location in New York, NY. The officer will safeguard the client by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, responding to security-related concerns, and providing professional customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff. The scheduled shifts are Monday 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, Tuesday 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, Thursday 11:00 PM–7:00 AM, Friday 11:00 PM–7:00 AM, and Sunday 7:00 AM–3:00 PM. The pay rate is $19.06 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property common areas, building exteriors, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations.
Monitor for unusual activity, property concerns, and unauthorized access, helping deter incidents through visible presence and timely reporting.
Respond calmly and effectively to incidents and critical situations, following site procedures and communicating with appropriate personnel.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, and observations in accordance with site requirements.
