Security Officer FT UCC Sellersburg
About The Position
The Security Officer enforces hospital regulations and helps provide a safe and secure environment for hospital patients, visitors, and employees. Under general direction from the Security Supervisor or designee, the officer monitors and patrols Baptist Health property, watches for potential safety hazards and unusual occurrences, and reports them promptly. As directed by supervisory personnel, the officer investigates complaints or potential criminal conduct, assists with restraining patients when necessary, and provides protective services. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, working 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on a schedule of two days on and two days off, including every other weekend. The position is at Baptist Health ER & Urgent Care in Sellersburg, Indiana.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- BLS certification from an approved BLS course; training will be provided.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least one year of experience in military service, security, law enforcement, healthcare, or customer service, and/or IAHSS certification preferred.
