About The Position

As a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location in Anchorage, Alaska, you will help safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and providing customer service to visitors and staff. You will communicate professionally, respond to routine concerns, and help support a welcoming and orderly environment. The role involves following site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, emergency response activities, and established post orders. The position is scheduled Friday and Sunday from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM and pays $23.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
Be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment, if required.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government buildings, parking areas, public spaces, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations, following post orders and notifying appropriate personnel or emergency services.
Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas; verify authorized access as directed; and maintain activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation.
Help maintain an orderly environment by providing directions, reporting facility concerns, and deterring unauthorized activity in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
