Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Presence
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer for a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Milpitas, California. The officer will serve and safeguard the client by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring assigned areas, and providing customer service and clear communication. The role is scheduled Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM and pays $25.00 per hour. The position involves following site-specific procedures and security policies, checking credentials and managing visitors, responding to incidents and alarms, and documenting daily activities and shift handoffs. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local regulations.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
- Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience.

- A guard card or license.
- CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific procedures and security policies.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, production or equipment areas, parking facilities, access points, and the surrounding perimeter.
- Monitor access by verifying credentials, following visitor-management procedures, and documenting entries, exits, and security-related observations.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations by following emergency response protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift pass-down communications.
