About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol security officer for an assigned site in Newark, Delaware. The position provides a fixed weekly anchor shift with a six-month commitment, plus the option to claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform. Employees may work part-time hours or build up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The pay rate is $18.35 per hour. The scheduled shift is Sunday from 1:00 AM to 9:00 AM.

The officer provides customer service and follows site-specific procedures, monitors access, patrols the facility and surrounding areas, responds to incidents, and prepares reports and shift logs. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and drug screening, subject to applicable law. State or local licensing may be required. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any state or local licensing requirements that apply before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license only if the position involves driving.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific procedures and policies and, when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter, identifying and reporting unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery drivers according to site requirements.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, notify appropriate personnel, and document observations.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs while remaining aware of security-related concerns throughout the location.
