Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Site Walkthrough
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer to monitor and patrol a commercial real estate location in Montgomery, Alabama. The role involves maintaining a visible security presence, conducting routine rounds, responding to alarms and access concerns, documenting activity, and providing professional customer service to tenants and visitors. The position is scheduled Tuesday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and Friday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at a rate of $16.30 per hour. The site has limited on-site facilities, including portable toilets and rustic guard shacks. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements depend on applicable state or local rules and may be required before employment. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.
Requirements
- At least two years of security-related experience.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
- Must undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Complete activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation according to company and site-specific requirements.
