About The Position

As a full-time unarmed Security Officer at a retail grocery location in Memphis, Tennessee, you will help safeguard clients and provide a welcoming environment for customers and team members. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, respond to security concerns, communicate professionally, and use computer or tablet tools as needed. The position pays $14.25 per hour and is scheduled Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements before employment, if required.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to customers, associates, and visitors by following security procedures and site-specific policies and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the store, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location; report suspicious conditions, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate with site management, Allied Universal leadership, and local emergency responders as needed.
