As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Role in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, support access activity, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government services location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post orders and reporting protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, common areas, and/or assigned posts, assist visitors and staff with directions or questions, and document security-related concerns as needed.
  • Support access control activities, observe and report policy violations, and communicate with supervisors and/or public agency personnel regarding incidents or operational needs.
