Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a hotel and resort setting.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, escalating matters to site contacts and/or local responders when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, corridors, guest-facing areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe onsite activity, and document security-related incidents, disturbances, and/or maintenance concerns in accordance with post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Support a welcoming atmosphere by providing directions, assisting with guest inquiries, and reporting policy violations, suspicious activity, and/or unauthorized access attempts to the appropriate personnel.
