As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Akron, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations prior to employment.
• Possess a valid driver’s license (if position involves driving).

Nice To Haves

• Experience with access control and badge systems

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing details with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance, lighting, and/or security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for employees, visitors, and/or vendors, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, restricted area violations, and/or policy concerns.
• Support site operations by maintaining logs, writing clear incident reports, communicating with local authorities and/or emergency responders when needed, and following post orders for unarmed patrol duties.
