About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a commercial real estate location in Chicago, Illinois. The role includes driving patrols and perimeter checks, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and providing customer service to tenants and visitors. A valid driver’s license is required for this driving post. The position is scheduled Monday through Wednesday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM and Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The pay rate is $19.50 per hour.

Requirements

A valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel by following site-specific security procedures and policies and carrying out emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor property access, observe and report unusual conditions or potential security concerns, and assist with visitor and contractor access procedures.
Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence.
