About The Position
As a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a technology-focused location in Milpitas, California, you will help safeguard employees and visitors by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, and supporting a welcoming environment. You will communicate professionally, respond to routine concerns, and use technology to document activities. The scheduled shifts are Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM and Saturday from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. The pay rate is $25.00 per hour. The position provides customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities. Duties include patrols, monitoring access and visitor activity, responding to incidents and alarms, and preparing activity logs and reports.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and may be required before employment.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet.
- A Guard Card or license.
- CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures to help maintain authorized access to designated areas.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed by established procedures.
- Prepare accurate, timely reports and daily activity logs documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.
