About The Position

As a part-time unarmed patrol officer at a retail location in Chicago, Illinois, you will help safeguard clients by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents. You will provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and vendors; communicate clearly; respond professionally to concerns; and support a welcoming environment while demonstrating Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity. The scheduled shifts are Wednesday and Thursday from 12:00 AM to 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $19.75 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the property, including common areas, parking areas, building exteriors, and perimeter locations.
Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and resident activity according to site-specific procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations; document observations and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
Maintain a visible presence to help deter unauthorized activity and report suspicious conditions, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
