About The Position

As a part-time unarmed patrol officer at a healthcare location in Tampa, Florida, you will safeguard clients by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff by providing customer service, communicating clearly, and responding professionally to security-related concerns. The schedule is Tuesday and Wednesday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM. Pay is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements before employment, if required.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, offices, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate logs and reports of security-related incidents.
Support an orderly healthcare purchasing environment through clear communication and collaboration with site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
