About The Position

As a Security Officer in a healthcare location in Scottsdale, Arizona, you will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and the site. You will patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security concerns, and provide customer service and communication. The role includes alarm and incident response, access-point monitoring, visitor-management support, and accurate reporting. The schedule is Thursday through Sunday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The position is full-time and pays $17.01 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency-response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the healthcare location, including parking areas, entrances, perimeter areas, and common spaces, to identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders when needed.
Monitor access points and assist with visitor-management procedures in accordance with site policies.
Document patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities accurately and promptly in required reports.
