About The Position

The Security Officer protects people, property, and assets by patrolling premises, monitoring systems, controlling access, and responding to emergencies to maintain a safe and secure environment. The officer serves as a helpful professional resource while ensuring people on the property follow safety protocols.

The position is full time at a site in Danville, Illinois, pays $19.00 per hour, and offers 1st- and 2nd-shift schedules. No prior experience is necessary. Securitas USA provides security services tailored to clients’ needs and emphasizes integrity, vigilance, and helpfulness in serving clients, supporting colleagues, and engaging with communities.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and clear driving record required.
• Above-average computer and technology skills.
• Must be able to work independently and provide excellent customer service.
• Must remain calm under pressure and vigilant throughout the shift.
• Must respond to emergencies with rapid, effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• Strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and quick decision-making capabilities.
• Must participate in the company's pre-employment screening process, including a drug screen and background investigation.

Nice To Haves

• Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience is a plus.

Responsibilities
