About The Position

As a Security Officer Credential Verification in Elwood, Illinois, you will help safeguard a logistics and distribution facility by monitoring entry points, verifying authorized access, and communicating professionally with employees, visitors, and drivers. The role involves remaining visible, reporting security-related concerns, and supporting smooth facility operations through teamwork and integrity. This is a full-time position paying $19.85 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday and Tuesday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor facility entry and exit points, verify authorized access, and maintain visitor, contractor, and delivery records in accordance with site requirements.
Control access for delivery vehicles and personnel, direct individuals to appropriate check-in areas, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregular activity.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established security protocols and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, docks, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
