About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer to support a government-related location. The officer will safeguard clients and visitors by conducting patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring assigned areas, and communicating professionally with visitors, staff, and leadership. The role is scheduled Fridays and Saturdays from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM and pays $20.00 per hour.

Applicants must have a valid New York State Security Guard License and at least one year of security-related experience. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership about observations, incidents, and operational needs.
