About The Position

The Security Officer serves and safeguards clients at a government location. This unarmed patrol role involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, and supporting a secure environment for staff and visitors. The officer provides customer service, communicates clearly, and responds professionally to security-related concerns. This is a part-time position scheduled Friday and Saturday from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The pay rate is $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access by observing visitor and vehicle activity, verifying credentials as directed, and reporting unauthorized access attempts.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, and observations in required logs and reports.
Communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.
