About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer in Myerstown, Pennsylvania, to help safeguard a logistics and distribution location. The role involves managing entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring access activity, documenting security-related information using computer or tablet systems, and maintaining a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, and pays $18.00 per hour. Candidates need at least six months of relevant security experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local regulations; a valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access-control records.
• Observe inbound and outbound vehicle traffic and support gate operations.
• Report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, and policy violations.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
