About The Position

As a Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Olathe, Kansas, you will safeguard clients by managing entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring access activity, and helping maintain an orderly environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will provide customer service, communicate clearly, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. The role is full-time and pays $18.75 per hour. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and direct drivers and visitors according to site procedures.
Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry records, and communicate access-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach, following established site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
