About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Security Officer for construction site patrol in Sunnyvale, California. The role involves observing the environment, anticipating risks, and responding appropriately while patrolling sensitive areas and moving around throughout the shift. Day, swing, and graveyard shifts are available; specific schedules will be discussed during the interview. The project ends on December 31, 2026. The position pays $23 per hour. A uniform is provided at no cost.

Requirements

• Hold a state security license and have completed the additional 32-hour BSIS security trainings; additional security training may be obtained during the hiring process.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be able to stand and walk for the entire shift.

Nice To Haves

• First aid certification.
• Security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to identify suspicious activity.
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas.
• React quickly to threats or incidents.
• Check that alarms and cameras are functioning properly.
• Document incidents and actions taken.
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents.
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
