About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for site patrol at a commercial real estate location in Greencastle, Indiana. The role provides a designated weekly shift as a reliable base schedule, with a six-month commitment to the assigned site and shift. Officers may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, allowing them to increase their hours and work toward a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, while retaining the option to scale back. The stated pay rate is $20.00 per hour. The scheduled shift is Thursday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM.

The officer provides customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors; carries out security procedures and site policies; patrols interior and exterior areas; monitors property access; and responds to incidents. The position may involve emergency response activities as appropriate. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and drug screening, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Licensing may be required under state or local rules.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment, if required.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors at a commercial real estate location while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions or potential security concerns.
• Monitor property access, verify visitor and vendor authorization according to site procedures, and report unauthorized activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, document observations, and complete required reports.
• Maintain a professional presence while communicating with property management, tenants, and emergency responders as needed.
