About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Flex Security Officer for an Amazon warehouse in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The role involves unarmed security work in a technology and telecommunications setting, helping safeguard the site through patrols, access monitoring, customer service, and incident response. The position requires open availability. Applicants who previously worked at Amazon as an associate or in security may not qualify.

Requirements

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Have open availability.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
State or local licensing requirements may apply and may need to be met before employment.
Applicants who previously worked at Amazon as an associate or in security may not qualify.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license.
X-ray screening experience.
CPR and/or First Aid certification.
Customer service experience.
Comfort using a computer and/or tablet.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of communication.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols of offices, lobbies, corridors, loading and receiving areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter.
Monitor access points and authorized entry procedures, verify credentials where required, and document visitor, vendor, and delivery activity according to site guidelines.
Complete routine reports and shift documentation, including incident reports, patrol activity logs, and observations of hazards or maintenance issues.
Communicate with employees and visitors, provide directions and answer questions, and document observations.
