About The Position

The Security Officer - Flex - Unarmed - Enhanced will serve and safeguard clients across industries such as healthcare, education, finance, and retail. The role offers hands-on experience at a variety of sites and opportunities for career growth. The position is based in Cincinnati, Ohio, with assignments and work locations changing regularly.

The officer works 30–40 hours per week. Schedules vary week to week and combine manager-assigned shifts with shifts claimed through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift self-scheduling program. The role requires irregular shifts, sometimes with little to no advance notice, to support client needs. Pay is $19.65 per hour, paid weekly.

Requirements

• Must be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends, in a Branch Flex role.
• Must have reliable transportation for Branch Flex assignments.
• Must be available for last-minute shift scheduling in a Branch Flex role.
• Must be able to travel required distances for Branch Flex assignments.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call the police or fire department in case of fire or the presence of unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property complies with client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
