About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screener in Rock Hill, South Carolina. This position is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site, with the option to pick up additional shifts through a scheduling platform. The role requires a six-month commitment to a designated site and weekly anchor shift. Additional shifts may be claimed to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites, with flexibility to vary weekly hours and work up to 40 hours per week.

The pay rate is $19.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Sunday, 1:00 AM–8:30 AM. The officer provides customer service and site-specific security support at a shelter location, including screening visitors and deliveries, monitoring access, maintaining records, responding to incidents, and conducting patrols.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and clients by following site-specific security procedures and carrying out emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen visitors, deliveries, and personal belongings according to site procedures; monitor access points and help control entry to the shelter location.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, incident documentation, and other required records while handling sensitive information discreetly.
• Respond calmly and respectfully to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the surrounding perimeter to identify unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
