About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Site Support in Garner, North Carolina. The position provides consistent hours at an assigned site on a designated weekly shift, with a six-month commitment to that assignment. In addition to the scheduled shift, officers may claim extra shifts through the company's scheduling platform, potentially increasing their hours up to 40 per week. The role is intended for people seeking part-time work with flexibility, income stability, and an opportunity to build toward a full-time schedule. Pay is $18.36 per hour. The listed schedule is Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver's license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location, following site-specific procedures and security policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor entry, and maintain accurate logs.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns through established channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned business spaces, entry points, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Support emergency response activities, document incidents, and communicate professionally with site stakeholders and Allied Universal leadership.
