About The Position

As a Security Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location in Kansas City, Missouri, you will help safeguard the site and support a welcoming environment. You will manage access points, verify credentials, monitor activity, conduct routine patrols, and provide professional customer service and communication. The role involves working with a team to help deter incidents and responding to situations with reliability, agility, and integrity. This is a full-time position scheduled Tuesday through Saturday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The pay rate is $18.75 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license only if the position involves driving.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Monitor facility entry and exit points and verify visitor, employee, and contractor authorization according to site requirements.
Control facility access, document visitor and vehicle activity, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking locations, and perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions.
