About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer in Manassas, Virginia, you will serve and safeguard clients at a technology-focused location. You will help maintain a welcoming, controlled environment by screening visitors, verifying access credentials, and supporting badge and access-control processes. The role involves providing exceptional customer service, communicating professionally, and using computer or tablet tools to document activities and support security operations. The position pays $19.76 per hour and is scheduled Friday and Saturday from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security procedures, access screening requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Screen personnel and authorized items entering and exiting the facility; escalate prohibited items, access concerns, and irregularities to appropriate site contacts.
• Verify identification, visitor authorization, and required credentials; maintain accurate visitor and screening documentation while protecting confidential information.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, follow site procedures, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and designated client representatives.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and the surrounding business perimeter to identify and report potential security concerns.
