About The Position

As a Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Jeffersonville, Indiana, you will help safeguard clients, employees, visitors, and facilities. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, provide customer service, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. The role involves communicating clearly and supporting a welcoming environment. The position is full-time and unarmed, with a stated schedule of Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, exterior perimeter, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and observe the movement of personnel, visitors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
Document observations, incidents, and completed patrols in clear, accurate reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
