About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Guard for a commercial real estate location in San Carlos, California. The guard will help safeguard tenants, visitors, staff, and the property by patrolling assigned areas, monitoring access, recognizing and reporting hazards, and responding professionally to security-related concerns. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, and following site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state and/or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or clients by carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
Monitor property access by observing entrances and exits, verifying authorization as directed by site procedures, and providing directions or assistance to visitors.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Document patrols, incidents, observations, and interactions in required reports, and communicate relevant information to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
