About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for an assigned healthcare site in Detroit, Michigan. The role provides a fixed weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Additional shifts may allow hours to vary from part-time to as many as 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The position is unarmed and includes patrol and hazard identification duties. The listed pay rate is $18.35 per hour. The scheduled shift is Monday, 12:00 PM–6:00 PM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in accordance with site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, directions, escorts, and access-related concerns.
• Accurately document incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.
