About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Summerville, South Carolina. The officer will help safeguard the site through routine patrols, a visible security presence, access-control support, and responses to security-related concerns. The role also involves providing customer service and helping maintain a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The stated schedule is Wednesday and Thursday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The pay rate is $17.51 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license if the position involves driving.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific procedures and security policies.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter.
Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and assist with visitor management.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, communicate observations, and request appropriate support when needed.
Accurately and promptly document patrols, incidents, and security-related observations according to company and site reporting procedures.
