About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer in Allentown, Pennsylvania, at a chemical and petrochemical location. The role involves helping safeguard personnel and visitors by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, and supporting a secure environment. The officer conducts routine rounds, reports security-related concerns, provides customer service, and communicates effectively. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.31 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements before employment, if required.
• Have a valid driver's license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while providing customer service to clients.
• Perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
• Monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, and help deter incidents.
• Conduct routine rounds and report security-related concerns.
• Support a secure environment for personnel and visitors.
