About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer for an educational location in Miami Shores, Florida. The officer will help safeguard students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests by maintaining a visible presence, conducting patrols, supporting access control, and delivering customer service. The role is scheduled for 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM on Sundays and Mondays and pays $16.75 per hour. The position includes responding professionally to incidents and emergencies, monitoring assigned campus areas, reporting unusual conditions and policy violations, and maintaining accurate reports and communications. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements depend on applicable state and local regulations.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests while following site procedures and security protocols.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events according to established emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, residence areas, and perimeter locations.
- Monitor access points and observe activity in assigned areas; report policy violations, maintenance concerns, and security issues to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare accurate reports and communicate with campus representatives, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders as needed.
