Security Officer Full Time Mobile Driving Role
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time mobile driving Security Officer in Berry, Alabama, to serve and safeguard clients at an industrial location. The role involves routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, reporting security-related concerns, supporting access control, and communicating professionally with employees, visitors, and team members. The officer provides reliable service through teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach. The position pays $17.95 per hour. The listed schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5:30 PM to 5:30 AM. The site has limited on-site facilities, including portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require age 21 or older.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, and report observations to appropriate site contacts.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed vehicle and foot patrols of industrial operations areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor site access and verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures.
- Maintain required activity logs.
- Observe and report potential hazards, damaged barriers, unusual conditions, and other security-related concerns in accordance with site-specific policies.
- Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and team members.
