Security Officer Full Time Access Administration
About The Position
As a Security Officer in Access Administration at a busy logistics and distribution location in Middletown, Pennsylvania, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, documenting activity, and communicating professionally with employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel. Your visible presence and customer-focused approach will help deter security-related incidents. This full-time role is scheduled Tuesday through Saturday, 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., and pays $18.43 per hour. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor access points for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel; verify credentials and maintain accurate entry and exit records in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond calmly and constructively to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters to appropriate site contacts or emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution location, including entrances, trailer areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Observe loading and shipping areas for unusual activity, report security-related concerns, and support compliance with facility access requirements.
