About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for access credential administration at a financial institution in Ashburn, Virginia. The officer will manage access points, verify credentials, monitor alarm systems, and help protect employees, visitors, and assets. A visible presence, professional communication, and customer-focused approach are important to deterring security-related incidents. The role offers access to a shift-claiming platform and opportunities to explore additional shifts and roles. The schedule is Tuesday and Thursday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $25.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least two years of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements vary by state or local law and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while following site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access logs.
Respond calmly to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.
Assist with controlling visitor, contractor, and delivery access while maintaining a professional presence and supporting a positive customer experience.
