About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer in Boise, Idaho, at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The role supports site security by managing entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring access activity, and providing professional service to employees and visitors. Officers maintain a visible presence and help foster a secure environment.

The position offers a schedule through Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform. The listed schedule is Tuesday and Wednesday, 11:00 PM–7:30 AM. The site has limited on-site facilities, including portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

• A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access-control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while carrying out site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Respond calmly to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, exits, perimeter areas, parking locations, and construction-related work areas to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership about access-related concerns, policy violations, and incidents.
